Lush toile de jouy print jacket by John Galliano circa 2002. Delicate blue and white chinoiserie motifs with subtle beige shading. The straps and buckles are a clever nod to punk style. Silk twill trim in navy blue. Body of the jacket is quilted woven silk, making it lightweight and perfect for spring.  In 1997 Galliano presented his groundbreaking haute couture collection for Dior. You can see his genius for juxtaposition in this jacket~the punk elements and storied toile de jouy print are a playful contrast of old and new.
